You Are Worth It – Feb 29 2020
A Women’s Empowerment Supper Circle
Fourth Saturday 5:00 – 7:00 pm through July
February 29, March 28, April 25, May 23, June 27, July 25
Warm and welcoming, this safe monthly group is designed to empower all women, but especially those who have escaped abuse — helping them understand their worth, embrace healthy self-love and begin the journey of creating their best life ever. Topics covered include changing limiting thought patterns, trusting your intuition, boundaries as best friends, dreaming big and more.
Designed to be positive and inspiring, this course moves you forward towards creating a new future, leaving the unalterable past behind.
“You Are Worth It!” is lead by Sheila Petnuch Fields, a Duchess County-based empowerment coach, speaker, and writer. She is also a survivor of multiple chapters of marital and spiritual abuse.
February’s introductory session will feature a fun ice breaker, some of Sheila’s story and an overview of the course. February’s teaching is on healthy self-love and a Q&A session will follow.
Held the 4th Saturday of the month through July, from 5 to 7 p.m., participants are asked to bring a bag supper and beverage, a notebook and pen, and an open, expectant heart.
While there is greater value in attending all six sessions, life happens! So no worries if you miss a session, just come back the next month. Looking forward to meeting you!
Monthly fee is $20.
Enrollment is limited to 20 women.
Sheila Petnuch Fields is the founder and creator of AwakenedWoman.me and the Facebook community, Awakened Woman. A certified coach and mentor, speaker and writer based in Duchess County, she offers empowerment coaching for women after abuse.
And today her life story — which has run on parallel tracks of abuse and resiliency — has morphed into her life work as she reaches women around the world.
Surviving the gamut of abuse — from covert emotional and psychological to physical and financial trauma — as well as the fallout from spousal adultery, abandonment and alcoholism, she has personal experience that informs her training and coaching.
Married and divorced from scripture-spouting men, she also endured spiritual abuse from church leaders, a childhood with a violent alcoholic dad, and the unrelenting challenges of single parenting.
While consistently reminded to submit/obey/be silent in her marriages, a series of divinely-orchestrated events stopped her sleepwalking. A massive awakening in 2017 prompted the process of safely exiting a covertly abusive marriage.
Yet when she separated, having lost nearly everything, she believed she had nothing left to ever again offer other women. She shut down the mentoring business she established in 2011 and focused on her own recovery.
Enter empowerment coaching — after decades of professional and pastoral counseling — which she credits with transforming her life. She began thinking for herself,
discovering her worth, practicing healthy self-love, setting boundaries, dreaming big and finally fulfilling her life purpose.
And she’s never looked back! Happily she continues creating a new life better than anything that came before.
