WordPress is a Content Management System through which you have control over how to present your website. It is the most common web content platform on the Internet. It is also very flexible, once you understand how to add capabilities and set up the hierarchy of pages.
The key to building and maintaining a vibrant website is organizing your content and planning a schedule of posts and updates. The features of wordpress offer many options for presenting your content, including text, images, service offerings, product information, categories and tags.
In Part 1 we will cover the fundamentals of page construction, help you assess and plan the structure of your website, identify the content you will need to gather, and develop a work-flow for your site.
In Part 2 we will cover some more advanced issues, discuss working with “plug-Ins”, and show you how to configure WooCommerce as a sales platform, Paypal as a payment gateway, and Gmail to enable outgoing mail from your website.
Along the way we will share tips, tools, and tricks for working with WordPress, and we will discuss how your site can be fine tuned to best serve your business and your visitors.
